Baltimore Raven’s Jacoby Jones Gets Head Bust With Bottle By Stripper in DC

Baltimore Raven’s Jacoby Jones Gets Head Bust With Bottle By Stripper in DC

We haven't heard from Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Jacoby Jones since Week 1 when he sprained his MCL in Baltimore's 49-27 loss to the Denver Broncos.
If you're wondering how Jones' rehab is going, it's going well enough that he was on a party bus early Monday morning with teammate Bryant McKinnie and a stripper named Sweet Pea. And apparently, Sweet Pea and Jones didn't get along.
According to TMZ.com, Sweet Pea hit Jones over the head with a 'gigantic Ace of Spades bottle.' After Jones was hit with the bottle, an ambulance was reportedly called for 'a bleeding male.' According to TMZ, not only did the blow to the head hurt Jones, but he was bleeding everywhere after it happened.
One of Jones' friends reportedly tried to retaliate against Sweet Pea, but McKinnie stopped the friend and then a fight broke out between McKinnie and Jones' friend, according to TMZ.
It's not clear why Sweet Pea hit Jones over the head with the bottle. It's also not clear how big the Ace of Spades bottle was. Ace of Spades bottles come in eight sizes, ranging from 750-milliliters to 30-liters. You can see the big bottle at the bottom of the page.
The whole situation occurred around 3 a.m. ET Monday. Authorities responded to the scene, however no arrests were made. McKinnie, Jones and several other unidentified Ravens teammates were out celebrating McKinnie's 34th birthday. The Ravens were coming off of a 30-9 win over Houston on Sunday that kicked off at 1 p.m. ET.

According to the the Ravens official Twitter page, Jones was at Baltimore's practice facilities on Monday and went through his normal rehab. However, the Ravens didn't specifically confirm or deny whether or not he had any type of head wound or injury.

Rick Ross Ft. Future – No Games

Rick Ross Ft. Future – No Games

Rick Ross drops a new single off of, “Mastermind,” called, “No Games,” featuring Future.

IT’S THE ROBOCOP TRAILER!

IT’S THE ROBOCOP TRAILER!

DROP IT, CREEPS, the Robocop trailer is here. After the jump, we bring you the first trailer for Sony/MGM’s Robocop remake, which is either an intriguing new take on relevant source material, or a dry anal raping of a classic, your childhood, and all that is holy, depending on your perspective. Directed by Elite Squad‘s José Padilha (YAY!), rated PG-13 (BOO!) and starring The Killing‘s Joel Kinnaman (Boo-urns?), it hits theaters February 7th, 2014. The plot involves drones now. Ooh, ripped from the headlines. (Raped from the headlines?).

The kick-ass cast includes Gary Oldman, Michael Keaton, Abbie Cornish, Jackie Earle Haley, Michael K. Williams, Jennifer Ehle, Jay Baruchel, Marianne Jean-Baptiste and Samuel L. Jackson.
In RoboCop, the year is 2028 and multinational conglomerate OmniCorp is at the center of robot technology. Overseas, their drones have been used by the military for years – and it’s meant billions for OmniCorp’s bottom line. Now OmniCorp wants to bring their controversial technology to the home front, and they see a golden opportunity to do it. When Alex Murphy (Joel Kinnaman) – a loving husband, father and good cop doing his best to stem the tide of crime and corruption in Detroit – is critically injured in the line of duty, OmniCorp sees their chance for a part-man, part-robot police officer. OmniCorp envisions a RoboCop in every city and even more billions for their shareholders, but they never counted on one thing: there is still a man inside the machine pursuing justice.
Not sure if… I would buy for a dollar.
It’s definitely a new take on the material, and the iconic robo-talk of the original is gone, in favor of a Robocop who’s more in touch with his human form, but is controlled by subtler means to give him “the illusion of free will” (message!). I’m on the fence. I hate the idea of a PG-13 critique of fascism, but I like the director and cast – especially Sam Jackson as the TV host guy – enough to give it a chance. Either way, it was nice of Detroit to stay as believable as a crime-ridden dystopia as in was in 1987 so that they didn’t have to change the setting. Consistency like that is undervalued.

Photo Of The Day: Jay Z & Damon Dash…Together

Photo Of The Day: Jay Z & Damon Dash…Together

When is the last time you seen these two together? Maybe this could lead to Damon Dash getting a gig at Roc Nation. What other rappers would you like to see end their beef? Jeezy and Ross? Chris Brown and Drake? Cam’ron and Jay Z? 50 Cent & The Game?
This gives me some hope(very little) for Hov and Beanie Sigel to end their beef and going back to making classic tracks.

Nas Raises $27,000 For D.C. Homeless Family

Nas Raises $27,000 For D.C. Homeless Family

Moved to action after hearing about a family in Washington, D.C. lose their home, Nas raised over $27,000 dollars for them today. The legendary rapper heard about the tragic story of Stanley Young, an unemployed construction worker and father of seven, who recently lost his apartment in a fire, rendering his family homeless in the inferno’s wake. After hearing about the story from a Washington news outlet, Nas decided to take action setting up a fund through a CrowdTilt page for donations to help the homeless family.

After making the first donation and asking his millions of followers on Twitter to donate too, the page quickly raised  the $20,000 dollars for the family of eight in less than a day. No word on how the money will be distributed yet but this is an incredible win for the Young family, Nas and the human spirit in general.

Kanye West Confirmed To Perform At 2013 MTV Video Music Awards

UPDATE: This month Kanye West will tie with Madonna for most VMA performances ever.
With help from social media, MTV has revealed that its 30th annual MTV Video Music Awards will take place at the newly-opened Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
The move to the popular arena will serve as the first time the VMA’s have been taped in a location other than Manhattan, Los Angeles, or Las Vegas.
This year’s awards show, which will take place on August 25th, will also mark the first time the VMA’s have been in New York City since 2009. Over the past three years, the VMA’s have been filmed in various venues in Los Angeles including the Staples Center and Nokia Theatre.
Following a series of grand opening concerts that featured noted Brooklyn emcee Jay Z, Barclays Center has become a go-to location in New York City for all things music-oriented.
Despite a large drop in viewers, last year’s VMA’s welcomed performances from Rihanna, A$AP Rocky, Lil Wayne, 2 Chainz, and more.

(March 25)
UPDATE: Def Jam Records has confirmed today (August 5) that Kanye West is among performers at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards. He is confirmed to be performing Yeezus single "Black Skinhead," which included creative involvement from Daft Punk, Gesaffelstein, and Lupe Fiasco.
2013 will mark West's seventh VMA performance, tying him with Madonna for most overall performances at the flagship award show. West VMA performances date back to a 2004 College Dropout medley.
West last performed "Otis" with Watch The Throne collaborator Jay Z in 2011.
